GIGIG Road Trip: Day 1

Checking in after Day 1 of the family road trip (didn’t we use to call them vacations?). After escaping from the OC/LA basin, we had a wonderful brunch in Santa Barbara at the Tupelo Junction Cafe on State Street (Tip: they serve breakfast until 2pm!). Thumbs up from the whole clan (including kids aged 4, 10 & 13), which is pretty rare.

I’m posting from the charming Saratoga Oaks Inn, where we’re crashing tonight. After a little shopping in Saratoga Village tomorrow (I have two daughters), we’re off to Santa Rosa for Ice Skating at the famed Redwood Empire Ice Arena (built by Peanuts creator and hockey fan Charles Schultz). More later!
