I’m a 2007 PAGE Screenwriting Semi-Finalist!
Earlier this month, I posted an update on my recent forays into the world of screenwriting competitions (here) with my first and only feature-length screenplay, HOME and AWAY. I’m VERY happy to report that I have another update (which, if you were paying attention, was given away in the title of this post).
HOME and AWAY was selected as a Semi-Finalist (The Top 25!) in the Drama Category of this year’s PAGE International Screenwriting Awards.
With more than 3,400 scripts entered, I was fully prepared for another (at best) Quarter-Finalist finish. I received an email this evening, with a link which sent me to the PAGE website, where I had to click on the list of semi-finalists (here). I nervously skipped the Drama category twice before slowly scrolling through the alphabetized (by title) list. Suddenly, there was my baby, tucked neatly between HEROES AND VILLAINS by Daniel Janoff and INNOCENT BORDERS by Peter Phinny & Lee Ann Jacob Gun.
Best of success to these two and all the scripts (and their respective writers) remaining in the competition…including me!
